Since 1978, Liberty Graphics has been dedicated to the highest quality art, screen printing, and customer service. Our wholesale customers are located throughout the U.S. and abroad in Europe and Asia. We also have four Maine retail stores: Portland, Camden, Freeport, and our factory outlet in Liberty, Maine.  In 2021, Liberty Graphics became an employee-owned Cooperative.

Fair & Pop-Up Coordinator

This is an exciting opportunity for an organized, results driven, retail leader who thrives with customer engagement, high traffic environments and is passionate about brand storytelling. The Fair & Pop-Up Coordinator will be in charge of reigniting a sales channel the company was founded on many decades ago. They will coordinate the scheduling, planning, merchandising, staffing and post event reporting. The ideal candidate will bring to life the unique history of our employee owned cooperative and be a messenger of our values, mission, and brand.

We envision this position may be based out of our Freeport Store, remote, and in Liberty as needed. Availability to work events on weekends and travel to various regions of Maine and beyond is essential. Being able to fill retail shifts in our stores when time permits or is required will be expected.

Key Responsibilities:
Event Leadership & Execution: Coordinate Liberty Graphics’ operations at fairs, festivals, and pop-up events. Oversee booth setup and breakdown, merchandising, inventory, and daily on-site operations. In some cases this may be setting up our booth for a coworker to staff the event.
Brand Representation: Serve as the face of Liberty Graphics at external events. Engage customers with authentic brand storytelling rooted in art, nature, and sustainability.
Staffing & Team Development: Recruit (internal and external), train, schedule, and manage event staff. Cultivate a positive, high-energy team that delivers outstanding customer service.
Inventory, Logistics, and Reporting: Coordinate product selection, manage transport and inventory, post event restocking, and reliable qualitative reporting and analysis.
Marketing & Community Engagement: Partner with marketing/retail team to support event promotions and strengthen Liberty Graphics’ brand awareness within local and regional communities.

Qualifications:
● Experience in retail management, event retail, or multi-location leadership
● Excellent organizational and logistical planning skills
● Confident brand ambassador with positive communication skills
● Ability to work a flexible schedule, including extended event days, weekends, and holidays
● Willingness to travel throughout Maine and New England
● Experience with POS systems and retail management software preferred

Education:
Related or equivalent work experience with college degree preferred.

Physical Demands:
Ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 40 lbs., and actively participate in event setup and breakdown.

Assistant Store Manager
Portland & Freeport Locations

We’re seeking a motivated Assistant Store Manager to support leadership across our Old Port and Freeport locations. This is an exciting opportunity for a results-driven retail professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment, is dedicated to exceptional customer service, and excels in team support and development. The Assistant Store Manager will partner with the Store Manager to oversee day-to-day operations, be flexible to cover shifts at both locations, and ensure a welcoming, shopping experience.

Key Responsibilities:
Customer Engagement: Provide outstanding service, educate customers about our unique brand, resolve any concerns, and foster lasting relationships with the local communities.
Store Operations: Support retail activities, including opening/closing procedures, inventory management, and effective merchandising.
Sales & Strategy: Assist in setting and achieving sales targets, monitoring performance, and implementing strategies to maximize revenue and customer engagement.
Team Leadership: Support recruitment, training, and motivation of a high-performing team; help manage schedules to ensure coverage at both locations.
Marketing & Community Engagement: Collaborate on promotions and events to attract customers to the store and strengthen ties with the Portland and Freeport communities.
Financial Support: Assist in managing store budgets, tracking key performance metrics, and implementing cost-effective operational practices.
Compliance & Safety: Ensure adherence to company policies and safety standards while helping maintain clean, organized, and inclusive store environments.

Qualifications:
● Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays, and travel between Portland and Freeport locations as needed.
● Experience in retail required and supervisory role helpful.
● Strong leadership, communication, and customer service skills.
● Solid analytical skills with a proactive, solution-oriented mindset.
● Familiarity with retail management software (e.g., POS systems).

Education:
Related work experience is preferred and a college degree is appreciated.

Physical Demands:
Ability to stand for extended periods and occasionally lift up to 30 lbs.
